Arnaldo González was born in Caracas, Venezuela, 1986. He studied Fine Arts at the old Instituto Universitario de estudios superiores de Artes Plásticas “Armando Reverón” with the tutoring of the Venezuelan teachers and artists María Eugenia Arria, Nan González, Zacarías García, Marcos Salazar Delfino and Jorge Domínguez Dubuc.

2012 González made his first trip abroad to the island of Tenerife (Spain) where he made contact with his paternal roots for 3 months and began his photography and performance work "Resguardo y Presencia".

2013 he participated in the last version of the art festival "Velada de Santa Lucía" in Venezuela together the Venezuelan artist Manuel Eduardo González in Maracaibo. From there he was invited to exhibit his visual work for the first time in Hamburg. He was participated in a group show in the "Velada Remix" art festival created by the Venezuelan artist based in Hamburg Clemencia Labín.

In 2014 he settled in Hamburg to begin his Master of Fine Arts at the HKS - University of applied sciences and arts in Ottersberg (Hochschule für Künste im Sozialen, Ottersberg) (Lower Saxony) with the tutoring of the German professor and artist Michael Dönner. In 2016 he successfully closed his master studies with the projection of his experimental film "Impuls" at “Westwerk” hall for the arts, and in the independent cinema hall "B-Movie" in Hamburg.
That same year he won the second prize at the Altonale festival, 17th edition, with his videoart "Volcano" and 2019 he was invited as guest artist at the Performing Arts Festival Berlin.

The migratory experience is deepened in González's work under his reflections on identity and psychogeographic space. In this context he uses the figuration and abstraction of the human body as well as the landscape to create drawing and video series.

Arnaldo González's drawings and paintings are made mainly with pencil, ballpoint pen and marker, sometimes mixed with acrylic paint and candle wax on paper and canvas.

Drawings as maps of one's own history - the Venezuelan-born artist Arnaldo González always searches for himself in his works on paper. Who am I, where do I go, how can I maintain communication with my family across national borders? The delicate, sometimes intensely colored drawings impress with their aesthetics and at the same time open up multiple levels of meaning that invite the viewer to enter into dialogue.
