My artist's books delve into the concept of appropriation and transformation by sourcing materials found at home and on the street. In this particular piece titled «Arrive and Return», I take a small notebook and strips away the visual information originally printed on its pages, creating a blank canvas for new narratives to emerge through drawing.

«Arrive and Return» is an interactive artwork that invites viewers to engage with it in a unique way. The notebook is designed to be read from two opposite directions, encouraging viewers to flip it over and expand the pages from the center point, akin to unfolding a map in search of hidden treasures. The act of physically interacting with the book becomes an integral part of the viewing experience, adding an element of discovery and exploration.

The artwork is presented in a handmade packaging, emphasizing my attention to detail and the significance of the artistic object as a whole. Inside the book, viewers will find a poetry of mine written in Spanish, which serves as a poignant reflection on the political conflicts prevalent in the world. This poetic element adds an additional layer of meaning to the artwork, intertwining visual and literary expressions.

«Arrive and Return» also encapsulates my exploration of appropriation, transformation, and storytelling. Through the act of repurposing found materials and inviting viewer participation, I invite to reimagine the potential narratives that can emerge from discarded objects and to reflect on the complexities of our contemporary world.

Mis libros de artista ahonda en el concepto de apropiación y transformación a partir de materiales encontrados en casa y en la calle. En esta obra en concreto, titulada Arrive and Return (Llegada y Salida), tomo un pequeño cuaderno y elimino la información visual impresa originalmente en sus páginas, creando un lienzo en blanco para que surjan nuevas narrativas a través del dibujo. 

Arrive and Return es una obra de arte interactiva que invita al espectador a interactuar con ella de una forma única. El cuaderno está diseñado para ser leído desde dos direcciones opuestas, animando al espectador a darle la vuelta y desplegar las páginas desde el punto central, como si desplegara un mapa en busca de tesoros ocultos. El acto de interactuar físicamente con el libro se convierte en parte integrante de la experiencia visual, añadiendo un elemento de descubrimiento y exploración. 

La obra se presenta en un envoltorio hecho a mano, que pone de relieve mi atención al detalle y la importancia del objeto artístico en su conjunto. En el interior del libro, los espectadores encontrarán una poesía mía escrita en español, que sirve de conmovedora reflexión sobre los conflictos políticos que prevalecen en el mundo. Este elemento poético añade una capa adicional de significado a la obra de arte, entrelazando expresiones visuales y literarias.

Meine Künstlerbücher befassen sich mit dem Konzept der Aneignung und Transformation von Materialien, die ich zu Hause oder auf der Straße gefunden habe. In diesem speziellen Werk mit dem Titel Arrive and Return (Ankommen und Zurückkehren) nehme ich ein kleines Notizbuch und entferne die ursprünglich auf den Seiten gedruckten visuellen Informationen, um eine leere Leinwand zu schaffen, auf der neue Erzählungen durch Zeichnen entstehen können. 

Arrive and Return ist ein interaktives Kunstwerk, das den Betrachter einlädt, auf einzigartige Weise mit ihm zu interagieren. Das Notizbuch ist so konzipiert, dass es aus zwei entgegengesetzten Richtungen gelesen werden kann, was den Betrachter dazu anregt, die Seiten vom zentralen Punkt aus umzublättern und zu entfalten, als ob er eine Karte auf der Suche nach verborgenen Schätzen auffaltet. Die physische Interaktion mit dem Buch wird zu einem integralen Bestandteil des visuellen Erlebnisses und fügt ein Element der Entdeckung und Erforschung hinzu. 

Das Werk wird in einer handgefertigten Verpackung präsentiert, die meine Liebe zum Detail und die Bedeutung des Kunstobjekts als Ganzes hervorhebt. Im Inneren des Buches findet der Betrachter ein von mir verfasstes Gedicht in spanischer Sprache, das als ergreifende Reflexion über die in der Welt vorherrschenden politischen Konflikte dient. Dieses poetische Element fügt dem Kunstwerk eine zusätzliche Bedeutungsebene hinzu, indem es visuelle und literarische Ausdrucksformen miteinander verschränkt.
