IMPULS
THE CORE - NFT COLLECTION
Each GIF art represents a core. And they are all part of a one digital piece that Arnaldo has composed to develop all his subsequent imagery for IMPULS (Genesis) video art.
IMPULS (Genesis) was the first in-progress sequence of the final version of the film, originally shown in a 3-channel video installation (2015) and is shown to the public in a single 4K version exclusively here on the site for the release of "The Core" NFTs collection.
In this series the own body of the artist coexists within an organic element, which lives, moves and expresses itself. It also travels in this space and migrates from one side to another.
For the realization of IMPULS (Genesis), Arnaldo used a single video file to build a multidimensional imaginary. He applied an abstract aesthetic based on a record of the movement of his hands in front of a camera (something like capturing a language). That makes this work a lens-based art taken to the digital environment. An unusual practice in most crypto art creations. González also sees this as a form of poetic survival of digital media before AI projects.
This first collection of Fifty-four Unique NFTs is based on animated GIF format. Each one different from the other. Each one has variations in gestures and movement and these are determined by time, rhythm and of course by your own contemplation. Perhaps a physical explanation of how a language happens here. A direct connection to the complexity of languages, body expressions and the evocation of feelings. It requires being very curious, patient and contemplative. You will know that we cannot always generalize. Maybe you collect the GIF with which you best understand each other?

Until not long ago, video art or new media was only possible to see in physical spaces such as galleries and museums, but since 2020 with COVID-19, digital media have begun to be used massively, allowing artists to make their digital art work more visible.
Currently, with the fast development of blockchain technology, the space for digital arts has been strengthened not only because of its exposure and global reach without the need for a physical space, but also the possibility of financially supporting the community of artists.
Arnaldo Drés González not only invites us to appreciate his digital artwork, but also allows us to collect it. "IMPULS" comes to us with various dynamics and interactions. The experience of contemplating his audiovisual work is accessible here and we will be able to explore each work of Arnaldo's creative process, especially with the creation of his video art and we will be able to collect his digital art as well.
Arnaldo Drés González presents to the public his original work "IMPULS (Genesis)" from 2016 (degree work for his Master of Fine Arts at HKS - University of applied sciences and arts in Ottersberg, Germany) in which he produced an experimental film with various sequences video, sound and photography.
We are here to appreciate the entire universe of Gonzalez visual art. A spatial imaginary, featuring analog forms into digital environments. Contemporary abstraction created by digital lenses and processed by video editing software.
Venezuelan (Caracas, 1986) interdisciplinary visual artist based in Germany. Exploring visual poetry in analog and digital environments featuring figuration and abstraction of the human body as well as the landscape to create reflections about identity in the migration context.
NFT stands for "Non-Fungible Token". Non-fungible is an economic term that you could use to describe things like your furniture, a song file, or your computer. These things are not interchangeable for other items because they have unique properties.
We can use Non-Fungible Tokens to represent ownership of unique items. Every NFT represents a unique digital item that users can buy, own and trade. NFTs can represent items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files, even real estate and ART in our case. Some can also offer additional utility like exclusive access to websites or events. They can only have one official owner at a time and they're secured by the blockchain (system in which a record of transactions made in cryptocurrency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network). No one can modify the record of ownership or copy/paste a new NFT into existence.
IMPULS | THE CORE - NFT COLLECTION is hosted on the energy efficient Tezos blockchain and it is available on Objkt.com. Objkt is the first and biggest NFT marketplace on Tezos that allows auctioning and trading tokens across smart contracts.
Before you begin your Objkt shopping spree, be sure to have a web3 wallet that is supported by the Tezos blockchain. A web3 wallet is an application or hardware device that allows individuals to store and retrieve digital Items, like cryptocurrency and NFTs. While hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor remain solid and secure solutions for storing any sort of crypto, Temple Wallet and Kukai Wallet are the most popular wallets for trading crypto and NFTs on Tezos.
After you have your wallet, you should buy Tezos crypto. Although XTZ, Tezos’ native cryptocurrency, isn’t the most popular crypto to trade, it is still available to buy and sell on nearly every major centralized and decentralized exchange. You can buy Tezos with Coinbase or Binance.

Tezos is an energy-efficient network that achieves consensus using proof-of-stake. It consumes over two million times less energy than Proof of Work networks like Bitcoin or Ethereum. The low carbon footprint of Tezos means developers and users can prioritize innovation without compromising sustainability. The self-amending properties of Tezos allow the network to stay ahead of the constantly evolving trends in the blockchain ecosystem, such as gas optimizations and NFTs. The recent interest in the ecological impact of NFTs has amplified a relevant and substantial advantage Tezos has against other networks: substantially lower energy consumption and a smaller ecological footprint.
